Knopfler PLLC ("the Firm") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website.

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide through our contact form, including your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your inquiry. We do not collect personal information unless you choose to provide it.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our contact form is used solely to evaluate your inquiry and respond to your message. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Form submissions are transmitted through a third-party form processing service that delivers them to us by email. That service handles the message in transit and does not use it for any other purpose.

Cookies and Analytics

Apart from the one consultation page described under Advertising measurement below, this website sets no cookies. It does not display advertising.

We use two measurement tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics records page views, referring sources, and general site performance. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your browser.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through our pages, including clicks, scrolling, and the order in which pages are viewed, and assembles that activity into heatmaps and session playback. On this site Clarity is configured with cookies disabled, so it stores no identifier in your browser and cannot recognize you across visits. It is also configured to mask form fields, email addresses, and numeric values, so that information is replaced before the data leaves your browser. We do not load Clarity on our contact page at all. Microsoft processes this information under its own privacy terms, available at microsoft.com/privacy.

You can block this collection by blocking clarity.ms in your browser or with a privacy extension. Doing so does not affect your ability to use this site or to contact the Firm.

Advertising measurement

Our consultation page for visitors who arrive from our Google ads uses the Google tag from Google Ads to record when a visitor sends our contact form or taps our phone number. On that page only, the Google tag sets first-party cookies and sends Google standard page-visit information, such as the page address and the ad click identifier, so an ad click can be connected to that action. We have turned off Google's use of this information for ad personalization. We do not send your name, phone number, contact details, or anything you type into a form. The Google tag does not run anywhere else on our site.

Messages sent through the form on that page are delivered through Formspree, the same service our contact page uses. If the page address includes campaign parameters, including the click identifier Google adds to ad links, those are included with your message so we know how you found us.

When a visitor calls a phone number shown in one of our ads, Google may route the call through a forwarding number so it can report that a call came from the ad. Google reports call details such as the time, duration, and caller area code. It does not record the call.

When you arrive at our site through an ad or a link that includes campaign parameters, our site keeps those parameters, the first page you visited, and the referring page in your browser's session storage for that browser tab. They are included with any form you send us so we know how you found us. Session storage is not a cookie, is cleared when you close the tab, and is not shared with Google or anyone else.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect information submitted through this website. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
